BOOK FACE values the importance of local voices and stories by offering small publishers and self-published authors the opportunity for titles to be available in our stores on a consignment basis.

What does consignment mean?

Books on a consignment basis allows authors to stock their books with BOOK FACE for an agreed period and to allow BOOK FACE to sell those books on an author’s behalf. Authors are paid for any copies that are sold at the end of the agreed period, and unsold stock is returned to the author.

How are consignment titles chosen?

The managers at each store decide if the title is appropriate to the clientele of the area. This involves considering the quality of production, subject matter, author profile, market trends, planned publicity, and book design. Please note that each store is approached by many authors and BOOK FACE is not able to take all titles on consignment.

How do I contact BOOK FACE?

Before approaching BOOK FACE, please consider emailing your local store first. Include the title, subject matter, target audience and Recommended Retail Price (RRP) within 400 words.
