When the son of a media tycoon, Jack Harris, is exiled to Byron Bay to work on the local rag 'The Beacon', his arrival coincides with the disappearance of the paper’s editor Patrick. When Patrick’s body is later found in the ocean with a severed leg, his death is passed off as a shark attack, but Jack suspects his death is not what it seems.
