Are you, or do you know a young local writer?

We are celebrating young writers with our annual Young Writers’ Competition. All you need to do to apply is write a short story or picture book that features a map and drop it in to a BOOK FACE store.

- The word limit is between 800-1500 words and can be in any genre.
- Poetry/verse are accepted with a word limit of 200-400 words.
- Picture books can be 10-15 pages.

Entries will be separated by age groups:
- 6-8 years
- 9-12 years
- 13-18 years

The prize includes a gift voucher to spend at any BOOK FACE store. There will also be prizes for shortlisted entries. Submissions are to be given to staff at BOOK FACE with entries closing 30 April 2025.
